“... poetry is not a luxury. It is a vital necessity of our existence. It forms the quality of the light within which we predicate our hopes and dreams toward survival and change, first made into language, then into idea, then into more tangible action. Poetry is the way we help give name to the nameless so it can be thought.”

- Audre Lorde, 'Poetry is not a Luxury' 1985

I acknowledge the Darkinjung peoples on whose land I live & work on today.  I offer my respects to Elders past, present and emerging across all Nations on this country - and extend this solidarity to First Nations peoples around the world. From Darkinjung to the Amazonas, from Palestine to the Pasifikas and the so-called Philippines. Always was, always will be.
